Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. Over years, we make small stresses in our bones. Our bones fixes and strengthens itself; over and over. Injury, repeated strain, weight gain, or simply aging reverses this process. The repairing process deteriorates, leaving damaged bone. Stiffness when walking and feeling wobbly when standing can be signs of osteoarthritis.

About 1 in 10 adults live with it, most common in the knees, hips, hands, and spine. It tends to appear after age 45 but can happen earlier after injury or heavy physical work. Though it’s known as “wear and tear,” studies show that people who walk or exercise regularly have less cartilage loss over time than those who rest.

Physiotherapy and controlled exercises rebuilds movement, stability and trust. Movement doesn’t grind joints down, it feeds and protects them, like oil moving through an engine. Keep your engine running smoothly by moving every day. Don’t starve your joints of nourishment, reignite them.
